Experience survey
How do Danish young people position themselves in their democratic right and can Danish young people's experience of democracy be stimulated with a view to engaging them and making them participate?
Process overview
Introduction
How can it create commitment and get the young people to participate in democracy? This project has investigated how young Danes develop their interest in politics and society, as well as how to support their needs in their immediate context.
The study focuses on "everyday democracy" with the ongoing actions of citizens and society. In the case of "deliberative democracy", the will of the citizens is expressed directly by the people through a process based on public discussion between individuals and institutions. This can happen in different ways, through direct interaction with organisations, municipal institutions, citizens' assemblies or other forms of decision-making which directly involve the citizen and their own experiences.
Through the support of the project (Democracy Fitness) and the development of their tools (initiatives), this project has explored a way in which their initiative could be expanded.
